The Commission anticipates that while electricity demand for hydrogen is “negligible,” demand will increase towards 2030 in conjunction with the mass rollout of large-scale electrolyzers.

Following the Commission’s adoption of the first and second Delegated Acts, they will be transmitted to the European Parliament and the European Council. These bodies will have two months to accept or reject proposals within the Acts. However, they cannot make amendments to the proposals. This deadline can be extended by an additional two months if more time is needed.
